HealthFrame v1 XML Schema (2004-12)
PHR Data Model / XML Schema
HealthFrame v1 has a built-in data model for what information goes into a personal health
record.
This information model is captured in an XML Schema, and that schema is published here.
HealthFrame v1 supports exporting its
data in this published format, so that other applications can utilize the PHR data (for example,
printing reports).
The codes for things like medical conditions, medication names, etc all come from the
Unified Medical Language System (UMLS).
The U.S. government's National Library of Medicine's (NLM -
http://www.nlm.nih.gov) Unified Medical Language System (UMLS)
facilitates the development of computer systems that behave as if they
"understand" the meaning of the language of biomedicine and health.
